FAQ

The Summary

I design and build custom furniture from my workshop studio in Arlington, Virginia. Yes, really, bespoke furniture in Northern Virginia. I use local hardwoods to build sustainable furniture. All furniture you see on this site can be customized for you – size and wood species.

The Mantra: Authentic. Functional. Furniture.

Veteran-made craftsmanship in Virginia. Every piece of furniture I make is born from sustainable East Coast hardwoods. You can be as involved as you would like in the furniture making process – from picking out slabs at the kiln to watching the build process. I combine futuristic carbon fiber to accent the timeless warmth of classic hardwoods such as cherry, maple, and walnut to make beautiful furniture. This is Future Primitive woodworking. I build chairs, tables, hostess gifts, cutting boards, display boards, benches, chests, children’s toys, clocks, chests, and custom built-in cabinetry. My furniture is authentic. I let the wood dictate the outcome with live edges, irregular wood pattern curls, checks, and other one-of-a-kind natural traits. My furniture is functional. Please sit in one of my chairs. I combine classical and modern woodworking techniques to ensure lifetimes of form and function in these pieces.
